Wedding News
Steve had his final interview with Citizenship & Immigration Service--CIS (formerly Immigration & Naturalization Service--INS) on December 28, 2006, and was granted his fiancé visa which will allow him to enter the US and stay. The clock is ticking--180 days to enter the US on that Visa and 90 from entry to get married (and prove it) and apply for resident alien status!
Diane met Steve King in London in April, 2000. CIS will be glad to know that they have met in person within the last two years. Their most recent time together was for the deciding game of the World Series, 2006! Woo Hoo--Go Cards!! Diane won the lottery for purchasing tickets to the game and Steve flew 4000 miles to go with her!

The wedding is set for 07-07-07 at 7:07 pm. Diane only half jokes that this is so Steve will never forget their anniversary. In truth, that date is the 7th of July to people in Britain while it means July 7 to Americans. If they were to get married on 3-12, half their friends would show up on March 12 and the other half on December 3! Let there be no confusion as to the wedding date or future anniversaries!
This will be the official web area for information about the wedding, with updates updated as regularly as possible. If you received a Save The Dates card, maybe you put it in a safe place where you'd know where it is. We all know that translates to "never to be seen again." July 13, 2007-- Mattoon Wings Weekend. (See link on the aviation page for MTO Wings Weekend) Diane has participated in the Mattoon Wings Weekend for more than 15 years and the friends made there are part of her aviation family. Please join Diane and Steve at the 17th annual Mattoon Wings Weekend and after the hangar banquet for a mini-reception to celebrate the wedding and meet Steve.
September 29, 2007-- St. Louis Downtown Airport (KCPS). This is the airport where Diane has worked since 1981. Join Diane & Steve to celebrate their wedding, both their 50th birthdays (being celebrated in February & July 2007), and Diane's 25th anniversary working at Downtown Airport Traffic Control Tower. Fly in or drive in for friendship and for awards and tributes at a time to be announced. (Watch the website.) Everyone who has crossed paths with Diane or Steve is invited. If you're reading this, you're invited.
April 12, 2008--Wedding Celebration Ceremony in England on the near anniversary of Diane and Steve's first meeting.
