MS WALK 2005
On April 17, 2005, Diane's dad will be walking in the
annual MS Walk for the 10th time. He has participated in the
Wisconsin walk every year since Diane has been diagnosed. The MS
Walk is a major fundraiser for the National MS Society for funds for
services to clients as well as funding research toward a cure.
The annual MS Walk is also a source of raising awareness in the
community.
This will be a
MILEstone walk for him. This will be his 10th year walking, and
he says it will be his last. His dog, Abby, also always goes
along for the walk, too. Let's make this a great year for pledges
for his last walk!! AND, as a special one-time only incentive
-- In honor of Diane's 48th birthday, anyone who pledges $48 or
more will receive a free thank you gift!!
One year he walked within a few weeks after knee surgery, and this year
he is walking just prior to total knee replacement surgery! What
dedication!!
OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT THE MS WALK AND MS AWARENESS:
In support of the MS Awareness, you might like
to wear an MS Prism of Hope Awareness Ribbon. The prism ribbon
was adopted to represent multiple sclerosis because this ribbon's
colors change in unpredictable ways with movement, light, or position,
just as MS changes in unpredictable ways. The changing colors of the
prism ribbon signify that multiple sclerosis is an ever changing and
unpredictable disease that may be seen in different lights and
different ways but is ever constant. By wearing the ribbon on
your clothing, you are signifying that you are aware of the disease and
are a part of the awareness campaign and means you are helping to make
a difference in the life of someone affected by multiple sclerosis.
For your donation of $2 toward the MS walk, Diane will send you a
quality enamel over metal lapel pin in either gold plate or pewter
(your choice while supplies last). Send your request for a pin
with accompanying check or money order (made out to the National MS
Society) and send it to Diane at the above P. O. Box, or click here to
use pay pal RIGHT NOW!
